A team of Merseyside police officers and staff are taking on the ‘Million Makers Challenge’ on behalf of the Prince’s Trust to raise £10,000 between 1 July and 31 December 2019.
The Prince’s Trust makes a real difference to young people in our local community, helping them change their lives and get into work, education and training. For a number of years now, Merseyside Police has helped raised considerable amounts for the Prince's Trust in recent years and those taking part are looking forward to this year's challenge.
Sergeant Sean Harrison said “This is a real team effort and we’re relying upon the proven track record of generosity both within Merseyside Police and our local community to support such important work”
“Our Chief Constable has been committed to Million Makers for a number of years now and there are many ways that you can get involved this year and support us, either by donating to our Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraisi...emillionmakers or by taking part in one of the many fundraising events.”
“It’s really important that we support young people from our community and we’re privileged to play such a small part in enabling this important work to take place.”
Chief Constable Andy Cooke QPM said “I am proud that Merseyside Police is once again taking part in Million Makers. I am passionate about supporting our communities and as a resident of Merseyside, I want to ensure our young people are given the skills and support they need in life.”
Eriko Kobayashi, Head of Employee Fundraising at The Prince’s Trust, said: “Such enthusiasm and comradery are what Million Makers is all about, and we are delighted to have Merseyside Police on board again this year. Their collective passion for helping local young people to live, learn and earn is clear, and their support is absolutely vital.”
