Streatham House Nursery wins The National Day Nurseries Association ‘North of England Nursery of the Year 2019’ Award.
Streatham House Nursery in Blundellsands are celebrating after they won the ‘North of England Nursery of The Year 2019’ Award at the recent National Day Nurseries Association Award evening. TV and radio broadcaster Katie Thistleton announced the winners at the glitzy ceremony at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth on 28 June, following NDNA’s annual nursery conference. Family owned Streatham House Nursery competed with many excellent nurseries in the North, and won the coveted award for their exceptional work and care of the children, their families, and the team. The judges were also highly impressed by the number of parent votes and their positive comments.‘The NDNA Awards Evening was a spectacular celebration of excellence in the nursery industry, and we were proud to attend and gain this coveted award.’Janette Christie, Manager - Streatham House Nursery Directors Tim Apel, Alice Apel, and George Apel said, ‘What an honour to receive such a prestigious award. Thank you to all our parents who voted for us and a huge congratulations must go to our fantastic staff team, represented at the Awards evening by Rebecca Swinnerton and Phoebe Jackson and led by our wonderful manager Janette Christie.’ Purnima Tanuku OBE, Chief Executive of NDNA, said: “Congratulations to all of our winners. It’s our favourite night of the year because we can shout about all the wonderful work that our members do that makes such a difference to children’s lives and their families.
